One of the most useful aspects of this data is the ability to hone in on transitional play in the three different zones of the midfield: left flank, centrally, & the right flank.

Driving possession into the final third on Controlled Entries isn't easy but it comes with big rewards (it leads to a shot 26% of the time, compared to 16% & 17% on the flanks).
Finally, here is how the Transition Rating is broken down when honing in on the right flank of each team's midfield.
Lastly, we are still early in the process of meeting our goal of tracking all the 2019-20 matches. The results above will be fluid & mainly I'm showing HOW we can use this unique data set.
