(1) 2020 Patriots NFL Draft Thread...
After success targeting a few potential Patriots picks (Harry, Williams, Stidham) from last year’s draft, figured I would share some thoughts on the Class of 2020.
I will go by position & try to cover everything.

(2) I love this draft for QBs. For the right price, I’d be thrilled for the Pats to wind up with Tua or Herbert. I’d be excited about Love. Eason, Hurts & Fromm are all solid prospects that can start too.
Barring a big up, I’d target Jalen Hurts (Round 2/3) or James Morgan (3/4)

(3) Running back is not necessarily a position of need with Michel, Harris, White & Burkhead. I think Cam Akers is a potential stud that could slide & I like Anthony McFarland a lot. Would love to see them add BC’s A.J. Dillon as a power runner & Antonio Gibson is very intriguing
(4) VERY deep WR draft (will take 2 tweets)
Will Edelman, Sanu, Harry & Meyers all be back?
I’d be very surprised if the Pats can get any of the top 4 WR (although it would be great & Jefferson is a possibility). More likely they draft a WR on Day 2 & another Day 3, I’d assume.

(5) The Day 2 WRs are stacked, even if 5 or 6 squeeze into Round 1. Out of realistic possibilities, I’m very high on Michael Pittman Jr (USC)
Mid-Rounds (3/4) I like both Devin Duvernay & Antonio Gandy-Golden.
Lynn Bowden Jr & Isaiah Coultor would both be excellent Day 3 picks.

(6) Tight End is another position I’d expect New England to draft two players. Really hope one of them is Harrison Bryant, who I may like more than any TE in the draft.
The 2nd TE depends if they pick on Day 2 (Kmet, Trautman) or Day 3 (Okwuegbunam, Parkinson).

(7) If the Patriots OL is all healthy (Wynn, Thuney, Andrews, Mason, Cannon) it is an excellent group; but I’m very skeptical Pats intend to pay two guards & a RT over $34M combined, so this is an area to consider. There are 4 elite tackles that will go early; as for the rest...
(8) Really high on RT Isaiah Wilson, as well as Ezra Cleveland & Austin Jackson, but reaching is not needed. Same goes for IOL Cesar Ruiz. Mid-round picks (Peart, Hunt, Batch) or later (Charles, Heck, Williams, Lemieux) could be good fits for New England.

(9) For Edge players, A.J. Epenesa seems like a perfect fit for the Pats. Ideally they could take him later than 23, but he likely gone by 35 (maybe sooner). Lewis, Okwara, Greenard, Kareem & Robinson are all edge guys with good size that could be very enticing to New England.
(10) Wish there was a world where the Pats could land a stud defensive lineman like Derrick Brown or Javon Kinlaw, but I’ll assume this isn’t it.
DL guys that could fit well with New England include Marlon Davidson (Round 2/3), Raekwon Davis (3) and Benito Jones (Day 3).

(11) Not sure Isaiah Simmons is a linebacker, but he might be the most fun defender I could imagine playing for Bill Belichick (I know, wont happen).
Murray & Queen would both be great at 23 or if Pats moved up slightly.
