Just had a moment of realization of how fortunate we really are, even in challenging times. Felt like I wanted to write this down. 1/4
When I was a kid in the USSR I loved ketchup and potato chips. But neither were available; 9/10 bags of chips made in the USSR were burnt or rotten, inedible, and ketchup had to be imported and was super rare. 2/4
Just now I online ordered some delicious Shake Shack food, picked it up 10 mins later with extremely thorough social distancing precautions, and got all the ketchup packets I wanted, for free. 3/4
The current virus is super serious, and the quarantine situation is challenging all around, and yet my family and I are still far better off than my parents were with me back in the USSR. So, lots to be grateful for.
