Spouse appreciation: a thread. One of the things I’m most thankful for in the world is my wonderful partner, Sarah. She is my rock and she both humbles and supports me in all things. I don’t know what I’d do without her on a good day, let alone during COVID-19. 1/6
I took her away from a job she loved to an area where jobs in her field are much harder to come by. We did this so I could attend medical school, a life path that was certainly not in the cards when she married me. 2/6
Naturally, being brilliant, she quickly landed a job - but the commute is over an hour each way. She works hard to keep us afloat, even as I’ve transformed from a hardworking professional into a bum who gets grumpy and buries myself in books. 3/6
Manbaby that I am, I get lonely about halfway through each school day and beg for a “pretty wife pic.” She’s always happy to oblige, usually with a goofy fish face or her tongue sticking out, because she’s self-conscious. 4/6
With social distancing measures, she’s been able to work from home for the last month or so and it’s been wonderful to have her here and safe. With our state scaling back on protective measures (too) soon, she’ll be back in the office likely next week. 5/6
