I’ll never forget that divisional round playoff game between the Chiefs and the Texans. Went to the bar to watch the game. My fiancé had recently left me, so I was understandably sad. I wanted to get out of the house and watch the Chiefs kick some ass. I needed a win.
So the game starts, and it’s looking real bad for the Chiefs who go down 24-0 pretty quickly. Ugh I start sad pounding beers. 10 minutes left in the second quarter, @MecoleHardman4 with a huge return. Could this turn the tables on this game?
Then the Chiefs start clicking on offense. Williams gets a score for the Chiefs. 24-7.
And just like that, @tkelce gets one! 24-14 8 minutes to go in the half. Then comes that Sorensen fumble that pops the ball right into @DTRAINN5 hands. Things are looking great!
And another TD to @tkelce 24-21. What a game so far!
And a third connection for a TD between @PatrickMahomes and @tkelce! That third one was so fucking beautiful. Probably will never see a fucking pass like that ever again. Mahomes knew exactly where his foot needed to be to make that throw. Incredible.
28-21 at the half.
Second half starts, free play Mahomes hits @sammywatkins for a huge gain. Damian Williams with his first rushing TD of the game as the Chiefs go up by 10. 34-24
And Damian Williams with that back to back rushing TDs. 41-24.
Six straight TD’s from the Chiefs. 41 point run. The Texans finally score again. 41-31.
And Mahomes hits Bell for another Chiefs TD. 48-31 Chiefs.
And a @buttkicker7 field goal puts the final nail in the coffin. 51-31 Chiefs win and advance.
Late in the 4th quarter this super attractive women walks in. She eye fucks the shit out of me. All my boys say “go talk to her Nate. The chiefs got this win.”
I responded with “this is history my boys. I’m not looking away for a second. This is the Chiefs Super Bowl run. These females will have to wait.”
I’ve been a life long Chiefs fan. 31 years old now and as far back as I can remember, I’ve rooted for them. I went on to watch the next game at the same bar, chiefs get off to an early deficit and then come back to win.
Super Bowl 54. Same thing in the second half. Chiefs trailing and come back and win. When I needed a win this year, the Chiefs gave me that. Yeah I know I’m not part of the team in any sense, but when I needed something to root for and give me hope,
the Chiefs gave me that. 2020 has been a bitch, but that will be my favorite memory of this year. Oh and then I attended the Super Bowl Parade and that was fantastic. What an incredible experience that was.
I just miss sports. Sports to me are solidarity, family, friends, love, dedication, commitment and teamwork. In our current world, it sucks that we are deprived of that entertainment. Anyway, happy draft day and stay safe everyone. 🖤🖤🖤
