If you have 500 “viewers” and 47 in the viewer list and 3 ppl talking... it probably ain’t all lurkers.
Viewbots use proxies “fake traffic” they obviously don’t have accounts and leave the minute the stream is over.
I think this is more of what ppl mean vs having 50 ppl... https://twitter.com/docd3tox/status/1253096629353148416">https://twitter.com/docd3tox/...
You can say “mind you business” “stay in you lane” or whatever you want but that don’t change the facts.
It hurts people who work their asses off just so you can appear on a little higher on the list .. because they get overlooked.
We all know what lurking is and what lurkers are because everyone does it but it’s a little hard to believe seeing someone’s channel jump up 200+ ppl in 4 seconds with out a single host or feature and NOT ONE person says hi?!
How can you say how does that affect you (as someone who doesn’t do it) imagine if every single person on the platform did it so all the top channels showing have 500+ and yours has a solid 50... how will your channel continue to grow if no one sees it.
No the bots don’t sub or talk but they are making that channel more visible to others that might.
Network with ppl if you want those hosts so you can have genuine lurkers.
But pretending like viewbotting ain’t a issue ain’t it.
