my favorite is when they try to elaborate on what fanfic is like and it's completely nonsensical. You don't have to tell on yourself so blatantly. Dunning–Kruger at its finest!!

I also enjoy putting journalists on my Rec Center blacklist (which is informal and in my head lol) when they write otherwise interesting fandomy/culture pieces and lazily toss in a fic-bashing throwaway line. This happens...regularly.
