The amount of super talented artists that put themselves down and consider themselves as “mediocre” needs to stop. You’re amazing, quit trying to say you’re not.

Be proud of your skill and what you’ve accomplished. Don’t ever apologize for drawing for yourself. I mean it!
Honestly I get mad at people who do this, even people just starting out because let’s be real here, there’s always room for improvement but to acknowledge the strides you’ve made so far - that’s still something worth while.

Like what do people want?? Nobody’s perfect ffs.
Art is one of those things that is very fluid - no journey is the same and it’s a very personal thing for a lot of us. Most folks get into art for a lot of different reasons but one of the biggest is as an escape or outlet. That’s why I started, it had a calming effect on me.
Like do not compare yourself to other people, compare yourself to what you used to do - that’s a better way to see how far you’ve come.

People really need to stop beating themselves up because they didn’t accomplish “x” or aren’t good with “y”.
Have patience and work on one little thing at a time. You will get there, to whatever goal you have set out.

I enjoy seeing study pieces or progress sketches for that reason. It helps you get a feel for things, who cares what other people think about that.
