This is going to sound weird, but I really need to know if anyone shares or understands this experience. So, when I'm solving puzzles in a game, if I think too hard about what I'm doing and strategize, it takes me forever to solve them and I end up confused.
But if I just toy with the puzzle while thinking about it almost out of the corner of my mind, I arrive at a solution in a fairly timely manner.
In a similar fashion, when I'm writing, if I let my ideas flow out as a natural progression or intuitive stream of thoughts and insights and then go back to revise once I've finished, the end product is usually better than if I agonize early on over every step of process.
Does anyone else have a similar methodology?
