Our next book is by Margaret from #Prestwick Library. Margaret is reading 'Motherwell a Girlhood'. The story of journalist Deborah Orr and her childhood growing up in the 70s and 80s. Margaret says the book is honest and humorous and she’s loving it! #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

In between her games of Scrabble, Maureen from #Carnegie Library is very much enjoying reading 'The Trick to Time' by @KitdeWaal. She’s hoping for a happy ending. No spoilers please #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Staff member Sarah recommends 'Imagine Me' by Tahereh Mafi, which we’ve been told is perfect for fans of Stranger Things. Her cat, however, doesn’t look too impressed with 'If Cats Disappeared From The World' by Genki Kawamura #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Mary from #Girvan Library is making sure she keeps smiling during lockdown with 'Reasons to Be Cheerful' by @ninastibbe, a lovely sunny seat in the garden and a bottle of pink Frizzante! #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Laura from @samuseums is reading 'Fallen Gods' by Quintin Jardine. She says you won't want to put this book down. Full of sibling rivalry pushing the limits of love and loyalty - and of course no thriller would be complete without a twist! #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Lisa from #Alloway Library is enjoying 'The Woman Who Walked Into The Sea' by @MarkDouglasHome #TartanNoir with a twist, quirky protagonist and the use of an esoteric subject to solve crimes and mysteries, in this case, oceanography #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Chris from our team is reading the 'Railways of Ayrshire' by Gordon Thomson. Chris and his wife love their country walks and although they can’t get out and about at present, they're enjoying planning their routes #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight

Claire from #Girvan Library and her lovely fur babies are reading 'I Shall Wear Midnight' together by Terry Pratchet. Claire says it's the perfect book to escape with just now. #ReadingHour #WorldBookNight
