A thread, because I just CANNOT ANYMORE with the "make lemonade out of lemons" "no bad vibes" "think of this as an opportunity to reset" line of conversation about this whole situation: 1/6
It's ok if you are not able or willing to consider this "an opportunity" to create "a new normal" and re-evaluate all aspects of your life. 2/6
It's ok if you are NOT focusing on self-improvement or personal growth. 3/6
It's ok if you cannot see this as a "wake up call" from God/The Universe/Mother Nature. 4/6
It's ok if you just want to get through this as quickly as possible and get back to a life that you loved. 5/6
One of the most powerful things I learned from trauma counselling was that there is no moral imperative to "look on the bright side" of a crappy traumatic situation. It's ok to see the suck and just focus on getting to the day when it does not suck . 6/6 End of thread.
