this site made me far shittier and more vindictive than 4chan ever did

started using 4chan when I was very very underage, people there could be annoying but it was never as soul-crushing as browsing this place and seeing a post get 700k for saying "LOL my stupid fucking invalid grandpa is eating paint, he thinks it's yogurt, he's dying ROFL!"

some older 4channers were legit psycho, like those who bullied dog264 (now ricky berwick & making a mint as a youtube celeb so lol, owned) simply for being disabled. but the people I know never did that shit & it never had the sheer userbase percentage of twitter's awful behavior

on twitter you'll find shit that's not only extremely psycho but popular, you'll get a post saying "LOL look at this white bitch getting the shit beat out of her for wearing dreadlocks!" and it'll have close to a million likes

when you see just how horrifying normies can get, with their real names and photos and job info attached, and not get in trouble at all, it makes you want to stop giving a shit and just become internet GG Allin

lots of the woke crybully culture started with Something Awful, a site that could get just as psycho as 4chan. ppl say it was "Tumblr", but way before Tumblr SA was already doing this stuff. around 2008 is when the Spokker/Acetone drama happened over some 'men are rapists' thread
