for those of y'all who don't know abt my the 1975 history lets talk about it since i'm bored in the house and i'm in the house bored xx

so first time i saw the 1975 was in 2013 when they were barely famous and i saw them as a support act for muse and little thirteen year old me fell in LOVE with mr matthew healy because come on them skinny legs and that mohawk he was to die for

i listened to them for so long and got crazy obsessed coz my attention deficit hyperactive ass ain't know when to stop with things but then i reckon in 2015 i got into other shit (i was also emo so like it was a lot to manage)

then 2016 me and my pal sophie saw them at brixton and matty stuck his head out the window and it was dead weird coz no one seemed to notice but we were like omg hiii matty it was so cute

this was also before the queuing culture started when seeing them live was actually fun like we got there half hour before the doors opened and made it to barrier not to flex but he couldda kicked me in the face if he wanted to

so then after we saw them me and my pal soph became obsessed again and we made this ig page called badlydrawnmatty where we ran it as matty and george so i'd be matty and make the captions and sophie was george who would draw the pics it was so funny

we just took the complete piss with it but then we started getting loads of hate for no reason coz people were like YOU'RE PRETENDING TO BE THEM and i was like sis if u genuinely think matthew has time to be running this ig account then that sounds like a you problem

i then saw them a bunch more times in the middle of the year, and then came reading fest and poor lil sixteen year old me had a sign for matty and everything

i got real ill on the thursday of reading so the whole festival i was like dying of flu and it was horrific but i was like nah gotta power through for my baby's headline slot on sunday and i did i got barrier and i was there w my sign and i was so ready

then homeboy ratboy comes on stage (he still follows me coz of this) and he's doing his thing and then he comes down and takes my sign and holds it up and i'm like haha very funny jordan but can i have my sign back pls

so he goes to hand me my sign back but fools behind me take it and tear it up so i'm like ahh great wonderful thanks i worked hard on that and then my mood is like crushed

so THEN i'm a lil pouty but the security keep coming up to me asking me all these questions like 'who was the sign for?' 'who took it?' 'how long have u been here?' and i'm like pls i'm just tryna wait for matty but i answer the questions

i'm also w my homegirl Vicky coz i met her and we be chilling and my friend seb coz he came with me to watch them which is cool so i was with two friends

then an hour later the security came up to me and was like 'hey do you wanna watch the set from backstage?' and i'm like um YES PLEASE ??? but he's like 'u can only take one friend' so i'm like SHIT VICKY OR SEB?? so i say 'i don't know' and fool takes this as a no and walks off

so i'm like SHIT THAT WAS MY CHANCE like when i tell u i was so ill i could barely stand it was fucked up so i have a little cry and keep trying to get attention from the security but they're like,,,ignoring me ?? so i'm like fuck this

eventually another security guy comes up to me and i explain what happened so he goes and talks to the main security guard and he comes back with two backstage wristbands and i give one to Vicky and he's like 'we will get you 20 mins before the show'

so i'm like FUCK YEAH and just try and hang on for the rest of the show. i got punched in the face during cage the elephant and blacked out and no one even noticed lmfao but its fine i got myself back up

then for the wombats this boomer tries to push in front of me at the barrier and the security guard storms over and grabs him by the collar and is like 'push in front of her and i'm pulling you out of the crowd' so i'm gassing at this point

so then 20 mins before the show they get us and we go backstage and i see gabby who was matty's at the time girlfriend and i'd become kinda close with her through insta dms we used to talk a lot coz i would back her up when she got hate and stuff so i hung out with her

also side note gabby looks A LOT LIKE ME like it's WEIRD not trying to flatter myself or anything coz she's a model and just a lot prettier than me but when i posted the video of us everyone was like,,,,TWINS? like it really is strange

i had one of my friends JUMP ON HER hugging her at a show because he thought she was me lmfao like the similarities are kinda strange i'll show y'all one day

so me and gabby hung out and took selfies and she was real sweet but she kept being like 'girl you look so good' when my shorts and vest are like ripped and covered in dirt and blood i was like sis why you LYING FOR

i also got so feverish at one point i actually had to lie down but like we watched the show from the side of the stage and it was really cool and amazing and then when the show was done we got led down these stairs

so i'm thinking OK back to the campsite now but he leads us through some curtains (gabby gone somewhere else at this point) and i see all these vans and cars and i'm like tf and then i look to my side and about 6 metres away is george shirtless smoking a cig

so i look around and realise OMG I'M BACKSTAGE and i see matty putting some equipment in a van and i'm like well fuck i'm supposed to meet them !
but i evaluated my situation; my phone was dead so wouldn't even be able to get a photo, i was so fucking ill could barely function,

my hair was so dirty that if i took it out of the ponytail it would have stayed in position, and i wanted to actually spend time with them and meet them not like yknow just rush over like 'HI I LOVE YOU' so i backed out coz my time coming and i didn't wanna be that crazy fan

so the next day i go home and i crash with an even worse fever for like 2 weeks but i post my videos with gabby and then suddenly EVERYWHERE on twitter and instagram i'm getting hate

everyone's all like FUCK THAT BITCH, cancer of the internet, she USED gabby to get backstage, matty would HATE her if he met her, badlydrawnmatty is cancelled !!! so i was like, heartbroken coz i hadn't used gabby at all

eventually that all died down and people started to respect me, i became quite big and badlydrawnmatty had like 15K followers at one point (it only has like 8K now coz i've obviously neglected it for years) and i made loads of really cool pals through the band

saw them a bunch more times too, a few O2 shows, barrier for the dome show, saw them at that tiny one they did as well i forgot wha date it was but i think it was 2018? idk but since just kinda became a little saddened since the whole reading incident because people are so mean
