MORE IMPORTANT THAN BITCOIN

Bitcoin Twitter is a great community, but I think there's something about #Bitcoin that's more important than Bitcoin itself.

Am I about to shill something? Keep reading to find out.

Of course, I'm not talking about "the blockchain technology".

Bitcoin is a revolution, while other coins are not.

"what comes after Bitcoin" is a dumb question, so we'll go in the opposite direction

2/
What was necessary in order to make Bitcoin possible?

Well, the funny thing is, to most people Bitcoin is impossible.

Have you ever tried to talk about Bitcoin and its origin with the average factory worker/lawyer/farmer/econ student?

3/
"So there was this guy (or group) called Satoshi Nakamoto (not the real name, nobody knows his/their true identity) who developed this revolutionary technology to offer an alternative to the government monopoly on money and published it online, then disappeared..." etc.

4/
That's like a movie plot.

Is it tho?

Well if you know history, there have been many people who did "impossible" things by talent/luck (Xenophon, Cortés, Genghis Khan, Jack Churchill etc)

So why does Satoshi's story seem so unbelievable? Did the rules of reality change?

5/
Of course they didn't. What has changed is the common conception of what is possible.

People have been brainwashed into thinking that heroes don't exist, everything that could happen has already happened, and "the science is settled".

Everything that doesn't fit in the [box of believable consensus]™ is deemed a spook, a mirage. It's an age without miracles.

But what #Bitcoin proves is that, regardless of what some people choose to believe, the box can't really contain ALL of reality. There's more to it.

7/
That someone could break the box & create Bitcoin is actually more relevant than Bitcoin itself.

The order of relevance is:
1. the possibility for the box to be broken
2. Bitcoin, aka one particular break in the box
3. Shitcoins, aka the box trying to incorporate the break

8/
For mankind to survive, it will need 1000 more people like Satoshi.

Just remember, as Peter Thiel once said:
"The next Bill Gates will not build an operating system.
The next Larry Page or Sergey Brin won't make a search engine."

The next Satoshi won't create a currency.
