In today's press conference, @NYGovCuomo asked how could @senatemajldr think this way? It's actually his plan. Make government ineffective, then privatize everything. If governments fail then @GOP attacks are legitimate & makes privatization easier. It's a feature not a bug!

It's perverse culmination of @GOP thinking. Under-fund government so that it fails to prove that government can't work. Then privatize more of governmental functions. It's why #Republicans are not INTERESTED in effectively governing. See last 12 years for context! It's the plan.

It's also why will not hold #Trump to account. #Repubs recognize how incompetent @POTUS really is, it's just that Trump allows @GOP agenda for governmental failure come to fruition more rapidly.

Finally, it's just stunning that @senatemajldr said quiet part of @GOP vision OUT LOUD. If you read these 2 statements they are horrific views for leader of #Senate to hold (much less express) during a #pandemic. Abject failure of leadership that advances #hyperpartisanship.
