Like the OK sign and Pepe and Kekistan, and just about everything else from these types, the Boogaloo name is stupid, and that stupidity is used by adherents to deflect criticism. As in, “What are you so upset about it’s just a joke?”

This is why @wphillips49’s words echo in my ears every time I think of these groups. “You can’t give them an inch.”
