Why your brand hasn’t popped off yet: A THREAD...
1. YOU DON'T HAVE A PROFESSIONAL LOGO.
Whether it's text based or an illustration, consumers need to be able to recognize you. Your logo IS the face of your company and should be unique.
2. Your "branding" has been done before.
Instead of choosing a look that represents your company, your brand is contingent on what's trendy. Not a good move because once the trend phases so will your company.
For example when everyone was on the "nude" or "millennial pink" wave
3. Your "branding" looks too similar to another companies.
I see a lot of the same color schemes and "vibes" across the board. It's time to shake it up! You have to stand out.
4. You need BRAND colors!
Every brand needs specific colors. For example it's not okay to just say "our color is red". You need to know the EXACT color code... that's how you consistently ingrain your brand in the consumers brain.
5. You change your fonts too much.
A lot of people create flyers on Canva and other free tools but every piece of material you put out looks different. That works AGAINST brand identity plus makes your feed look messy. A double no no.
6. I mean I can't stress brand identity enough. Use the SAME colors, same FONTS, on EVERYTHING. From your business cards, IG highlight covers, to your website it has to be uniform. It will feel monotonous at times, but this is what works.
7. The dots don't connect:
Think about your product, the cost, and the demographic you're targeting while branding. Research your audience and see what they generally like. Niche consumer groups is where everything is headed. Stay inclusive but work tf out your market.
8. Send a CLEAR visual message:
If I'm selling fine jewelry priced at $5K+, I'm not going to use child-like colors for my brand. Typically my market would target adults 25+.. a more mature crowd. I would use neutrals, metallics, something sexy, luxurious, etc.
