I did support some form of temporary restrictive measures last month to counter #COVID19 spread (including stopping flights) but clear now there’s deeper agenda to keep us in some form of lockdown for months or years. We need to oppose this as liberties we lose won’t be returned.

I must also acknowledge that those who warned that a ‘three week’ lockdown was merely a ruse to get us used to our liberties were being taken away- and that it would go way beyond three weeks were right. The power elites have no intention of wasting this opportunity to control us

Let me clarify a few things:
(1) I believed & still believe some common sense restrictions/‘social distancing’ measures were necessary to try & stop spread of #COVID19 . The virus is not the Black Death but is dangerous and clearly not ‘just like a cold’. So we needed to be wary

(2) That said a ‘lockdown’ is not a zero sum game. People are not getting the treatment for non-Covid diseases they need. A lockdown claims lives too. Possibly even more than the virus. The longer the lockdown goes on the greater the social & economic damage. So we need now to be

(3) having a timetable for the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions. We can’t accept that most of them will remain in force until 2020 or even 2021.
