Wake has been almost perfectly average within the ACC the last 3 years. Clawson getting them to that point (considering where he started) is outstanding. Curious how many more gears he's capable of.

The 2020 Wake offense will depend so much on Sam Hartman. Had better passing numbers (*SMALL SAMPLE ALERT*) than Jamie Newman and still has Sage Surratt to throw to. But receiving corps is otherwise depleted and run game might stink again.

Also, I see a squashed bat.

The Wake D was extremely frosh/soph heavy but still managed too be at least decent. And as long as DE Carlos Basham's in uniform, they have at least one absolute stud. Almost everyone's back, but 2 good corners depart (and the pass D wasn't great WITH them).

SP+ REALLY doesn't like what Wake lost on offense. It's almost impossible to see a Clawson team regressing all the way back to 80th, but even if they're 50th-60th, they've got 7 opponents 41st or better. Tricky year.

Wake was *extremely* close to a 10-win season in 2017, but my main takeaway from diving into Wake's history is that Norm Snead was freaking FEARLESS. A Jameis for his age.
