I think it's somewhat reasonable to not really care about Biden beating Trump and spend the rest of 2020 working on downballot races for better candidates.

That looks a little different than spending the rest of 2020 cheering on third party spoilers helping Trump get re-elected.
It's a project (generously) designed to offer a way for the left to still view itself as the protagonist of American politics, rather than facing up to the deficit of power and organization that's been revealed by Bernie coming up short again in the D primary.
That's a powerlessness partially created by decades of organizing around fringe or niche Presidential grifter candidates rather than working to get left candidates into office. Thankfully, a trend that's reversed in the fallout of Bernie's historic 2016 campaign.
There's important downballot races all over the country but one I'll plug specifically is CA-53 where there's a D vs D general election matchup between Bernie-endorsed Latina LGBTQ candidate Georgette Gomez and a billionaire's granddaughter with close ties to the D establishment
I'll put this even simpler: if you want the left to have power, you have to get left candidates into actual elected offices, because that's where the power is https://twitter.com/Dumpcake_ind/status/1253346707104038912

Covid delaying or forcing vote-by-mail for states that still have yet to hold D primaries may present a unique opportunity to win primaries or open seats for left candidates. Lot of opportunity left on the table.
So many examples of this. I supported and voted for Cynthia Nixon but imagine what that race looks like with a more experienced candidate. https://twitter.com/rev_avocado/status/1253348715819040773
