If your name isn’t “Anglophone”, do you react differently to mispronunciation depending on who’s doing it? I *really* hate how English speakers usually pronounce my name; yet French speakers (who actually say it with extra “errors”) don’t bother me at all.
And I don’t know whether my reaction is ideological or what?
Also, massive love to the Anglophones who have taken time to ask, and try to pronounce it the Welsh way. It’s quite a subtle difference; I get that a lot of Anglophones can’t really hear it.
But it’s such a warm feeling when e.g. my U.S.-ian friend M actually says my name the same way I say it 🥰
