''UEFA can reject if there's public perception of unfairness'' eh?

@UEFA, let us introduce you to an organisation called SPFL and how they brought Scottish football to its knee. Shame if this goes viral. A comprehensive thread. (1/n) https://twitter.com/RobHarris/status/1253318135475630080
April 10: Dundee voted but SPFL decides that vote didn't go through. They voted 'NO' but as they were the deciding vote on the SPFL resolution, they decide to withdraw their vote by notifying the SPFL. Amazingly, their decision to withdraw received before their actual vote. (3/n)
April 11: Turns out clubs did have 28 days to vote which conveniently was left out. Rangers blast voting process as ‘undemocratic’ and asked for SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster & legal adviser Rod McKenzie’s suspension while an independent investigation is conducted. (4/n)
April 13: Pressure on Dundee relentless ever since they revoked their vote. People like Sutton absolutely lambasted Dundee for voting the wrong way (as at that time they thought that the vote from them was no). Massive PR pressure to change vote. April 16: Dundee votes 'yes' to SPFL proposal completing U-turn. Partick Thistle decides not to pursue a legal battle. Talks of reconstruction now gained major traction as chairman of bottom club Hearts get tasked with heading task force for reconstruction of league. (11/n)
Most people simply give up at this stage as they are disillusioned. From club directors saying they felt bullied to how they did not get enough time to grasp the resolution as they were made to vote on it almost straight away without any discussions, everything came up. (12/n)
We are sure we missed a boatload of things. But @UEFA UEFA let us know if you intend to uphold public perception of fairness. Apologies to everyone for the long thread but despite this, we missed so much. Even the Parliament is involved in this now. (13/n)
