So great seeing everyone in my street out showing appreciation 4 key-workers recently but so sad 2 receive an anonymous note from 1 of those very ppl. I’m the “friend” in question & I wasn’t visiting but returning home 2 my fiancé after caring for some1 with MS #clapforourcarers
If they had taken a second to think before acting they maybe would’ve considered that not everything is how it seems on surface. If they’d taken a minute to get 2 know us they would find out that my fiancé works 4 a mental health charity & spends their days councilling ppl in ..:
Mental distress which has only been exacerbated by the lockdown, so they fully understand the impact of what’s going on at the moment. They would also have found out that I don’t have an option to stay at home if there is someone with complex medical needs depending on my help.
The really sad part of it is that they may also have found out that the situation is just a scary for me as I’m sure it is for them. That I have asthma & I’m really worried about my own health as well as those I care 4, my friends and family, particularly those who work 4 the NHS
The best part is, I don’t even leave the house to go to the shops. I started getting home deliveries six weeks ago so as to minimise my contact with the outside world in an attempt to keep everyone healthy. I guess the main point of this thread...
