Facebook friends and family... Please help share this for me. Thank you!!

I have learned over the last day or two that if you live in Colorado and have Covid, the only way you would be able to use the drug Hydroxychloroquine is if you are critical enough to be in a hospital.
When I heard about this, it surprised me. Since when are we unable to make choices on what medications we use? What if we are older and have pre-existing conditions? What if a woman is pregnant?
I've visited with Doctors and Pharmacists and it has also been confirmed thru a government office, YES this is true. Governor Polis has made the decision that the prescription for this medication for Covid use, cannot be filled in this state.
It was done very quietly about 3 weeks ago, with no publicity.

While I completely understand that there are many conflicting opinions on this medication and there are many people who would NOT use it. I am not giving professional advice nor opinion.
I want people to understand that their RIGHT to choose what they want to do for their own health or their family members health (with this particular medication - what will be next????) is now being decided by our governor.
I wonder...will Polis and his family sit around with Covid, waiting to see how sick they become, wait until they are in critical care to be treated with medication?
Being a RN, I will always and forever be a patient advocate, a voice for others...to support and help them be the best that they can be.

PLEASE share this!!
