we watched the WACO miniseries this week and while it was a little paint-by-numbers, both Taylor Kitsch and Michael Shannon give really strong performances, with Kitsch as a true standout as David Koresh.

it is very sympathetic toward the Branch Davidians and unsparing toward federal law enforcement, and a consequence of that is the apparent sympathy for Koresh.
