And it looks like Chief Justice John Roberts will write the DACA opinion.
All the other decisions from the November sitting have been assigned to other justices, and he's the only one who hasn't written one.

Today the Supreme Court decided Barton, written by Brett Kavanaugh ( https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/19pdf/18-725_6khn.pdf) and Maui, written by Stephen Breyer ( https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/19pdf/18-260_5i36.pdf).
The only case left from that sitting is the DACA case, DHS v. Regents.

I don't think the decision will be released just yet.
On Monday, the Supreme Court allowed supplemental briefing on the question of how the Covid-19 pandemic is relevant to the legal question of "reliance."

Additionally, recent reporting by @propublica and @DLind undermines key assurances the government has made to DACA recipients who fear being targeted, should the program go away.
I fully expect the justices to hear about this in that additional briefing. https://www.propublica.org/article/ice-has-access-to-daca-recipients-personal-information-despite-promises-suggesting-otherwise-internal-emails-show

Two things Roberts might do:
1. Hold the case over for reargument in light of changed circumstances: https://twitter.com/MikeSacksEsq/status/1253336411899432966
2. Split the baby: https://twitter.com/lylden/status/1253333325286002690
Neither is optimal, and he could well do something else. Or @MaketheRoadNY may change his mind. No pressure!
