* IS a bit dismissive when reviewing female artists and it& #39;s something i& #39;ve been noticing recently
at the end of the day it& #39;s always easier to refute misogyny accusations w/ "you& #39;re a white feminist/terf" instead of actually reading their argument, deconstructing it & finding out if there& #39;s anything you& #39;re doing for people to be making those same accusations in the first place
dua& #39;s fn: he used that same old ass "white feminist" argument when justifying why he wasn& #39;t feeling "boys will be boys" but my black ass identified with it :/ i don& #39;t think it& #39;s anyone& #39;s place to question how a woman expresses her experience with mysogyny let alone a white man
the lyrics clearly weren& #39;t the problem bc on rina& #39;s album he said he didn& #39;t like ftw when it was going on a similar route( social criticism), just not as direct. it ended up being his least favorite track on the album and of course there& #39;s also the fact that it deserved a 9
that being said, according to rateyourmusic dot com, he& #39;s given about 160+ 10/10 reviews and 7 are from female artists
