I will rely on a notion tat Sachin's hundred don't come in winning causes. Look at the numbers -
Sachin Tendulkar
Wins-53% Loss - 25% Drawn - 25% No result - 2%
So, percentage of win when sachin scores a hundred is 53%
Ricky Ponting
55 wins out of 71 centuries
55/71 = 77.46

Going along with ODI's. Out of 49 centuries only 14 came in losing cause. And there comes those ugly people with hoaxes telling india will loose the match when he will score a hundred. (Maar Daalo)

Moreover Ponting's tremendous run of form in 2000s scared every batter across the globe. To this date fans and so-called experts debates that Ponting scored that many runs in lesser matches than Tendulkar (Coz Ponting started his career almost after 6 years of Tendulkar)

But if we look into the stats, it reveals tat Australia plays more number of tests every year. Tendulkar played just 38 test matches in first 6 years of his career (approximately 6-8 test a year).
