Nurses (and fellow essential workers)

No one is coming to save us.

The boss’s job is to make sure the shelves are stocked and the floors are staffed.

We have to take care of each other.

Everyone is so grateful to us but no one is looking out for us.
Military jet salutes mean nothing if we literally cannot breath safely.

Pizza isn’t that good for you. Pizza is the gift HR sends when they are going to work you short so you skip your lunch. And then they’ll write you up if you claim you didn’t take a lunch.
Someone is reading this who should not be at work.

Go to the clinic. Call your grandma. Make yourself something decent to eat.
Flyovers mean nothing if healthcare workers are dying.

WHAT ARE THEY CELEBRATING?

They are celebrating that we have continued going to work and accepting horrendous conditions.
Some places are celebrating the PPE shortage because it’s an excuse to not even try to buy PPE.

I did not sign up to die.

I signed up to be a nurse.

Fighter pilots are not essential.

Stay home. Wash your hands. Call your doctor. But you have to keep yourself alive.
Please.
