I have been practicing for years- most of my life, really- as pain has been a constant co-worker I didn't choose but need to cooperate with. 3/
Those things we might call hobbies, or mindless pursuits, or are declared to have a creative potential to exploit for money, those are often my lifelines. Games, art, plants, knitting, songwriting, drinking tea, etc. are catalysts for thriving. To access them is to thrive. 4/
I hope this perspective can help you cope with the suffering we're all going through. You don't have to wait until it's over to find the small picture joy. You can thrive in numerous little ways even through life's greatest struggles. 5/
It's not going to be every moment escaping reality, but it's good and hopeful to explore ways to help break up the toughness into smaller segments. 6/
