Cannot be emphasized enough how out of step Trump is with his push to re-open the economy. From @NavigatorSurvey today:

*Only 27% support re-opening the economy in "the next few weeks" (!)
*Just 13% support the protests
*76% would not change current behavior if re-opened.

The % of Americans who would be more comfortable relaxing social distancing if:

*Health experts declared safe (75%)
*Widespread availability of testing kits (73%)
*If CDC declared safe to relax (73%)
*Widespread availability of masks (73%)

*Trump declared it safe (37%) (!)

Where the public is: path to re-opening the economy is getting the crisis under control. Vast majorities (over 80% each) agree we have to:

*Listen to experts
*Cannot risk falling backward
*We need mass testing

Only 43% agree with "cure worse than disease" rhetoric from Trump.

May explain why Trump& #39;s ratings have declined significantly over the past month. There is no rally effect anymore - net approval declines in one month:

*Overall approval rating: -11
*Health care: -18
*Handling the coronavirus pandemic: -22 (!)
