Tired. I’m tired.

Here’s what gets you accused of being a pedophile rn:

- having a pulse
- shipping something someone doesn’t like

That’s it. That’s really it. That’s all they need.

And just for those who don’t know, here are some specific and fairly common “justifications” people like this have trotted out for accusing people of “pedophilic” pairings/works:

- age difference of one second more than a year or so, regardless of the actual age

- any height difference
- any size difference
- one knew the other when they were a kid
- they knew each other when they were both kids
- one saw the other as a kid
- any form of mentor relationship (that’s also incest btw)

- aged up versions of characters who are kids in fandom
- teenagers who have reached and zoomed past puberty having any kind of sexual thoughts or feelings or anything remotely like that at all

It’s borderline impossible to be in fandom and not be accused of being a pedophile. That’s not hyperbole.
