One time my dad called me from the office and said “you’re a nerd, who was Grima Wormtongue?”

I replied “oh he’s an evil advisor who corrupts a good king in Lord of the Rings.”

Dad said “oh that makes sense, thanks” and hung up without explaining why he asked.

Turns out Michael Moore called my dad Grima Wormtongue on his blog and dad didn’t get the reference, but recognized it clearly came from a place of nerddom and knew I could help.
