Maddux gets Jermaine Dye, Mike Sweeney, and Eric Chavez to go in order in the top of the 6th. Had a “Three Up, Three Down” card, so Maddux’s IP bumps up to 8. Good Guys ahead, 5-2.

FINAL: Good Guys win, 9-2, taking a 1-0 series lead. Maddux tossed a CG. Carl Everett was 3-for-5 with 3 homers. Jim Thome was a 3B from the cycle and drove in 4.
