Violence is not a one size fits all solution. Our generation must stop following this belief system. Yes, your problem was resolved by violence, against violence. Then, what will you do with the problem arising from your action and the one that comes after that?
Application of the Code of Hammurabi - an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth - must stop. We have evolved since the time of Babylonians. An onslaught of research studies on neuroscience and psychology brought us to a deeper understanding of our selves.
It became clear that our own Jekyll and Hyde are continuously battling each day. They are our rational and emotional systems. An act of violence and aggression is a product of our emotional and instinctive reaction. It just shows that you are letting Hyde win the battle.
Should we always let Hyde lose the battle? This is the question I'm trying to figure out through self-confrontation and reading books. Hyde is a part of you and repressing him will cause problems. The best answer that I have right now is compassion.
Show compassion to your own Hyde and to the Hyde of your neighbors.

I might be disproving my statements in this thread in a few months or years. What matter's most is that I found better answers.

I hope you find yours, too.
