The new Connection Coalition works in collaboration with the Government, playing a role in its new loneliness plan (announced yesterday by the Culture Secretary). https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-launches-plan-to-tackle-loneliness-during-coronavirus-lockdown
We're working very hard to keep loneliness at bay in our retirement communities & care homes here in Bristol. You can read more about what we're doing in our submission to @IntegrationAPPG's latest call for evidence here: https://bit.ly/2KuLJcp
Today we're hopeful that, with government backing, mass community organising & cross-sector working on a large scale, physical isolation doesn't have to equal social isolation, now or in the coming months.
