I find it mind-boggling that some researchers are now using miro / remote whiteboard tools to manually do affinity sorts by dragging things around a canvas.

The act of doing an affinity sort (manually re-arranging a bunch of stickies on a canvas) is identical to doing a "sort" in a database or spreadsheet tool (notion, airtable, whatever).
