Gonna have to give in and complain, but this thing about needing to show a lot of physical affection to show "love" is... Not it, chief. Specially between an established couple. How can you compare DBK with TT? They are completely different.
Unfortunately I can see a lot of people in the BL fandom saying lack of skinship is bad, it makes the show bad, where's the kissing and the hugging and the sex, and I'm here like... That is really not needed, if it's implied.
I can give a list of amazing bls with very few physical scenes, SOTUS is one, Love Sick is another one. Knowing that people complained about lack of skinship in Trapped (before it finished airing) really pissed me off. Are you in for the love story or the fanservice?
The tone of TharnType made them naturally have a lot of skinship because it would be weird if they suddenly stopped clinging to one another just because they got together officially, but that is how the story is told. Neither DBK or 2gether are like that.
DBK in special has so many other important focus points besides skinship that it makes me a little frustrated to see a comment like this about it. But then again I have to learn that not everyone is part of the LGBTQ+ and couldn't possibly see what is great about bls.
I need to add on this thread that some people are calling 2gether "glorified bromance" and... this just proves my point
a romance doesn't have to give a lot of skinship, and bromance is literally denying they're a couple... and 2gether doesn't do this at all.
