TESTING AND ISOLATION GO HAND IN HAND. How do you know whom to isolate without testing?? Why is Dr. Salvana hellbent on his misplaced counterproductive rage against mass testing??? Why not rage against this governments utterly incompetent military solutions to a medical problem?

LAST NA: a molecular biology quibble here. Yes, qPCR is sensitive, but that DOESN’T make it prone to false positives. THATS WHY YOU HAVE TAQMAN PROBES TO INCREASE SENSITIVITY. This is a basic mol bio lesson, no? Taqman qPCR assays are highly specific.

I’m sure @EdselSalvana doesn’t need a mol bio lesson on why Taqman assays are highly specific. So please, stop it. We see your thinly veiled attempts to discredit PCR testing. Why not write about the perils of rapid antibody tests instead?
