Two days ago, at around 12 in the night, I received a message about a terminally ill friend in a small faraway town who needed some medicines.
Things were made worse by the lockdown which caused many problems and amongst them unavailability of medicines.

From a person in Gurdaspur, came the first message of help and how to go about things. Then people from Delhi, Lucknow, Ranchi and Patna joined in to find the medicines, the doctors, transport and a person to ferry the medicines across almost 1200 kilometres.

As medicines reached the friend today, I have realized that above everything we need, humanity and that we humans should never allow anyone to turn us against our brothers and sisters in humanity, and our fellow human beings who need our help and whose help we in turn will need.

Happy update! Just called up a friend from across a continent & they are now in touch with a shopkeeper from the same village to help them with essentials.
