Reading this headline, you think: 'well done'. Then you read the actual piece, & you realise it's utter balls. 99.99% of musicians do not own their profile on Spotify. It's like a government asking taxpayers to give money to charities to pay for the services it should be providing in the first place. In other words, very cheap propaganda. A way to protect themselves against growing criticism and anger. Want to help artists, Spotify? Pay them!
And pay them directly. Not the aggregators who upload bunches of songs on your platform without their creators' authorisation or knowledge, and keep the cash. You know it happens all the time. What have you done to counter it?
