This exchange shows what I see as two different kinds of leftism: one preoccupied with fairness/equality as it relates to race & sex, one as it relates to class. The former ("SJW") kind is ultimately much more relaxed about capitalism if there's a seat at the table for them.

It's a nice little paradox for right-wingers. The ones who seem to be more on their side in the culture war, who also roll their eyes at "SJW" style preoccupation with people's appearance, are the ones who want a MUCH more radical upheaval of the system.

Think Bernie vs Warren. Warren does performative "woke" embraces of transgenderism etc, but ultimately wants to reform capitalism, not overthrow it. Bernie's much more *culturally* aligned with right-wingers (eg on immigration, on not being woke) but is an economic revolutionary.
