I home educated daughter by choice, from age 11, after researching it. Here are two things that might make you feel better if you have to try:
1. Itâs not you. Youâre not failing. Children need TWO YEARS to âdeschoolâ before settling;
2. National curriculum? Not compulsory. 1/2

These may interest and raise spirits. Links separated, because they didnât like being in the same tweet. 2/2 https://www.ted.com/talks/sir_ken_robinson_do_schools_kill_creativity?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare
Think your kids are just messing around and enjoying themselves? You are doing it right. If they appear to be doing nothing for long periods, thatâs also good and very important. If they play video games for long periods, itâs fine. Theyâll stop. Or go on to design them later.
Many home ed children open businesses. Many go to uni and find it easy, because theyâve been researchers since they were young. You may have a small lawyer at home. As soon as theyâre old enough, take them into court to see what happens. Do science at home. YouTube! Wikipedia!
