Arsenal Twitter over the last 11 years have had some absolute belters when it comes to ITKs. Here is a thread celebrating some of the funniest and downright crazy ITKs/ITK moments:
It would only be fair to start with one man. Ben Fairthorne, the man the legend that has never said anything remotely correct. Here are some of his best ones:
We were all enjoying our summer in 2015 when a man called Steve Woods appeared out of nowhere sending the fanbase into a frenzy. RIP to him and hope his wife Baba is going well as a single mother:
Speaking of 2015 who remembers Memz travelling all the way to the US to get information on Benzema’s imminent arrival at the Emirates. £700 spent, no Benzema, one hug. Truly amazing.
All this because of this doughnut agent increasing his followers by tweeting every day for the entirety of the summer, “Wow Arsenal mean business this year Gooners!” “Arsenal fans will be amazed”. Had the whole fanbase on strings and then deactivated his account:
Speaking of ITKs, no thread would be complete without our greatest ITK a man known by many names Dean, Nexus but he will always be Dialsquare. “I’m right because you’re wrong, but I’m not ITK but you’re wrong”. His photoshop analysis of Fàbregas to Chelsea will never be topped.
One of my personal favourite ITKs was Goal’s Chief Correspondent Mr. Wayne Veysey. Rumours have it that he was paying Arsenal fans money for fake information and was later sacked. One of the worst journalists I’ve ever come across, even worse than John Cross.
The Holy Month of Ramadan is almost upon us but one brother was so adamant Higuain was coming that he met Diaby at his local mosque who after finishing his prayers gave him details on our summer signings:
His “resources” from Spain had it confirmed that Cesc was coming. Cesc never came. Poom Poom.
This one is another classic. Bloke not only wasted all our time but also £75 of his own money. Absolutely sensational stuff.
Not forgetting this legend who had us all convinced Mahrez was done because he was Algerian and worked in Finance. Another one who had to deactivate:
Let’s not forget the ultimate Goat Geoff. His Gustavooooooo! And Higuain/Rooney info was absolutely amazing. If only he was as dedicated to fighting bad information as he is when it comes to fighting Ubers:
Unfortunately somehow the Arsenal Horse still exists in 2020. Claiming Upamecano is coming. An alias of the man himself Dialsquare but this moment for me was absolutely magical, apparently calling someone Cypriot was a racial slur:
Allegri was so close to Arsenal that young Plug could smell his cologne. Numerous interviews and a bucketload of fame but no Max Allegri to Arsenal. Of course his information was solid but “sometimes deals don’t happen” 😂:
Another all time favourite of mine was Wayne Gooney. Another man who had the whole fanbase on strings. It was very fashionable in 2015 to be an ITK:
