this is in collaboration with @oneironut @cyanheaven @shinelikeakey @betcity_127 and @minghaeggionni (and @growupsunshine who kept asking why we were sending so many messages )
- it obviously doesn't include EVERY Italian food, we chose mainly dishes from our regions

- it's just for fun, and also to spread a little bit of Italian food culture on Twitter
- at the end of the thread you'll probably feel hungry, I'm sorry haha

Taeil as lasagna

- thicc
- very versatile, the classic one is with ragù and (lots of) béchamel but there are vegetarian and vegan options
- makes everyone happy
- life of the party
- great comfort food

Johnny as tiramisù

- COFFEE!!!
- creamy and soft
- everyone's favourite
- easy to make but super tasty
- you can't go wrong with a tiramisù
- has lots of variants but the coffee one is a classic
- perfect to eat on the go

Taeyong as meringa all'italiana

- sweet
- hard on the outside but soft inside
- looks simple but takes a lot of skill to make
- it can come in every color (but the white one is the classic one)
- versatile

Yuta as cappelletti

- cute on the outside and has a tasty filling
- typical Christmas/Easter dish (with chicken/veggie broth) in some regions, a symbol of memories to cherish
- Perfect to feel warm when you need it
- the shape resembles a navel (Yuta navel piercing )

Doyoung as risotto allo zafferano

- simple but elegant
- kinda expensive
- rich in flavor
- versatile because you can make other dishes with it or eat it as it is
- perfect to eat on a cold day or at an elegant dinner
- warm and fragrant

Jaehyun as aperitivo con lo Spritz

- the most Italian thing ever
- Spritz is great to drink on its own but often served with chips, cold cuts and cheese or every other kind of food
- chill and laid back
- a symbol of bonding w/ friends
- kinda bitter and alcoholic
- citrous

Jungwoo as Supplì

- the king of Roman street food
- crispy on the outside and soft inside
- the melted mozzarella makes it perfect
- traditional and simple
- makes everyone happy
- has lots of different gourmet variations
- perfect before pizza

Mark as pizza

- the ace of Italian cuisine
- everyone knows it and loves it
- perfect in every way
- super versatile, can be thick, thin, on the go, fried, filled: multi talented just like Mark
- tasty
- the best food to eat with friends
- #1 comfort food

Haechan as amatriciana

- a little spicy
- strong taste
- salty
- traditional and loved by everyone
- looks simple but has a lot of different elements that make its taste unique
- everyone's secret favourite

Kun as panzerotto pugliese

- golden
- super hot it can burn your mouth
- can have any filling you want
- perfect comfort food
- can be fried or baked, but still warm and comforting
- to eat on the go but you have to be careful not to stain your clothes
- soft and squishy

Ten as babà napoletano

- soft and sweet
- drown in rhum or limoncello, or only water and sugar for kids
- a must try of Neapolitan cuisine
- makes you a bit tipsy
- once you try it you can't get enough of it
- hard to imitate
- small but powerful

- elegant shape just like Sicheng's dance

- thick like Xiaojun's eyebrows

- so soft it melts in your mouth
- one of a kind
- makes you mouth water
- smells amazing

Lucas as bomba alla crema

- big and cute
- super sweet
- golden
- makes you smile
- feels like a hug on sad days
- perfect way to end a night out
- perfect at every hour of the day
- perfect as a gift for friends who invite you over for dinner

Hendery as carbonara

- creamy and cheesy
- SUPER TASTY
- literally crafted by Gods
- salty and spicy
- everyone wants to imitate but only a few succeed
- once you try it you won't ask for anything else but carbonara
- warms your heart
- strong flavour that feels like home

Yangyang as granita siciliana (con brioche)

- fresh
- sweet
- can be in different flavours (almond, pistachio, lemon, ecc.)
- dipping the brioche in the granita = HEAVEN
- just a taste of it brings you back to summer days
- its flavour can either be delicate or fierce

Renjun as piadina romagnola

- the best Italian fast food
- very versatile and practical
- the classic one is super tasty but it can be filled with ANYTHING
- the right answer to sudden cravings
- it is also very healthy
- it's great during every season
- you'll always want more

Jeno as polenta

- traditional family dish
- warm and soft like a hug
- perfect with every topping, especially with meat and tomato sauce
- perfect during winter
- perfect treat after a long tiring day
- it lasts for a few days and it's always good

Jaemin as struffoli

- shiny and colorful
- kinda chaotic
- crunchy and tasty

- my favourite Christmas comfort food
- different textures perfectly balanced

Chenle as castagnole

- sweet and sugary
- soft and squishy
- my favourite Mardì Gras dessert
- it's impossible to eat just one
- without castagnole it isn't truly mardì gras
- kinda addictive
- filled or empty they always taste good
- happiness in a sugary ball

Jisung as maritozzo con panna

- perfect balance bc even tho it's a dessert it's not too sweet
- soft and firm at the same time
- you rarely think about it but when you do you remember how much you love it
- soft like a cloud
- brings you comfort
- reminds me of jisung's cheeks
