it’s quite natural to point to the government as the reason a country is “failing” but this lack of accountability nations have surely is part of the problem, no?
The culture of passing blame is very fear-based and supported by the ego. It’s easy to point to this great, big, corrupt institute called government to absolve ourselves of any responsibility to making our country what we say we want it to be.
If we can’t honestly see the role we play, it’s even easier to be complacent. And I think that’s probably the bigger issue.
I’m not well versed in politics so this thread isn’t about doing anything that requires degree level knowledge. I’m talking about being conscious about how your “small actions” add to the state of the nation.
If I’ve learned anything these past few months, it’s everything exists as it does because we choose it.
