Bugs thread. I& #39;m gonna post pictures of bugs I& #39;ve seen or interacted with. Feel free to join if you want or make a similar thread. Starting with a c... a co... A maybug from yesterday but I& #39;ll post older bugs as well.
A huge hornet who got inside the house. He was big like a coin. In the second picture, he& #39;s dead (frozen to death). The stinger is a few millimeters long.
A bloated tick I removed from our cat& #39;s back. It& #39;s a good cm long. It didn& #39;t oppose much resistance. It was so heavy it couldn& #39;t walk.
Some nice worms I found at the beginning of the confinement. Unfortunately, it hasn& #39;t rained in 7 weeks now, and with the wind the earth is cracked dry. No worms around anymore.
A deal fly from work.
If I remember right she had spent a few days flying around my desk feeding on remains of coffee and sugar.

A small cockroach I found in the toilets of a brand new "Students& #39; building" in a campus near where I work. I& #39;ve got a university staff keycard so I could sneak inside. I don& #39;t look like staff though. I don& #39;t think.
This guy was hanging out in the mud on the campus because of some necessary pipe fixing under the grass: machines and people tore the earth open and exposed old pipes to change.
A cricket from last summer. The grass trick, where you gently scratch a blade of grass in front of a cricket& #39;s hole to encourage him to go out, works like a charm.
Will I ever see him again?

The cat caught a dragonfly last summer. I shoo& #39;d him away and picked up the insect. It was fine after some rest and flew away.
