knowing that our govt and police can easily frame anyone using whatsapp at this point, please proceed using whatsapp (and your phone) with greater caution. here are a few steps i took to add an extra layer of security to my phone and whatsapp.
call *#62# to check whether SMS diversion is turned on. make sure that SMS forwarding is disabled. i got voice mail and sync data turned on for my mobile provider. not disabling them cuz it might cause problem. make sure to turn SMS diversion off.
