CHRISTIANS READ THIS;

I understand the root desire for parents to see their kids do better, and might lead them to do stuff like this. It is absolutely a flawed approach but again, they are frustrated and do not know better.

It does more damage than they imagined. I don't know any kid that understands love by beating. It is even confusing; they go to school and church and they are taught that love is kind, love is patient, love is not hurtful, and their parents will love them above anything.

Then the one person who is supposed to love them, beat them, leave scars on their body and tell them it is love. Are you not conflicting that child? Do you see how confusing and mentally disturbing that is already?

We turned out better than most because we ran to God. We got validated by God's love. We got comfort from God's love. By understanding that God's love supersedes anything, God's love supersedes our parents and the hurt they made us feel. That is why we turned out okay.

Not a lot of Christians understand this, that doesn't take away their Christianity but it would really have helped them to let go of their pain.

Stay praying, I love you!
