Being beaten as a child never improved my grades in the slightest. It made me doubt my intelligence, made me scared of authority and asking questions and doused any creativity I had.we were beaten by teachers for asking questions and by parents for not understanding the course.

Next time you want to congratulate yourself for all the things you've learned through beatings: resilience, strength, "pain resistance", Ask yourself what you lost through it. The person you could have been had you not been afraid of everything and everyone in yr childhood.
